Please continue to pray! Pray for us (especially for Mary and Bill) and pray with us. This is the most important and helpful thing you can do.
Here are particular intentions:
For Mary’s health and wellbeing.
For Bill’s endurance and ability to faithfully minister to Mary’s needs.
For Mary’s children, in-laws and outlaws (as we lovingly like to call them).
For all those who are suffering from cancer and other illnesses.
In thanksgiving for everyone who has already helped Mary and her family on this road through prayer, corporal help, and medical attention.
Mary and her family have particular devotions to specific saints. Please consider joining us in one of these prayers, novenas and devotions:
The entire Bryan family have a particular devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Please consider praying the Memorare 9 times today (known as the “Flying Novena” of Mother Teresa) for Mary and her family:
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored they help, or sought they intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, of Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
When we asked Mary which Marian apparition she’d love to visit, without skipping a beat, she said ‘Lourdes’. In honor of Mary, please join us in praying this Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes for Mary and her family and all of the other families suffering through cancer and struggling through the end of life cycle.
Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes
Be blessed, O most pure Virgin, for having vouchsafed to manifest your shining with life, sweetness and beauty, in the Grotto of Lourdes, saying to the child, St. Bernadette: “I am the Immaculate Conception.” A thousand times we congratulate you upon your Immaculate Conception. And now, O ever Immaculate Virgin, Mother of mercy, Health of the sick, Refuge of sinners, Comforter of the afflicted, you know our wants, our troubles, our sufferings deign to cast upon us a look of mercy.
By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary, whence you dispense your favors, and already many have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and physical. We come, therefore, with the most unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain for us, O loving Mother, the granting of our request.
(state your request – for Mary and her family)
Through gratitude for your favors, we will endeavor to imitate your virtues, that we may one day share your glory. Our Lady of Lourdes, Mother of Christ, you had influence with your divine son while upon earth. You have the same influence now in Heaven. Pray for us; obtain for us from your Divine Son our special requests if it be the Divine Will. Amen.
Mary’s family also has a particular devotion to the Blessed Solanus Casey for numerous reasons, but one of the leading reasons is because Father Solanus (when he was a priest) visited Mary’s grandfather (and his family) when he was suffering from ALS in the 1930’s. Please join us as we ask for Blessed Solanus Casey for a miracle and ask him to intercede for Mary:
Novena to Blessed Solanus Casey
Let us pray…
Blessed be God in all His designs. Praise Him as our good Father who is attentive to our needs and hears us when we pray. He told us, “Ask and you shall receive.” With the same confidence that permits us to say “Our Father,” we approach God now with our intentions, through the intercession of His holy servant Solanus Casey.
(State your intentions here.)
Blessed Solanus Casey, you once wrote that detachment from earthly affections is a first step toward growing in holiness. Pray today that the earthly desires of my heart may be replaced with a burning desire to pursue God alone.
Heavenly Father, I pray for the advancement of Blessed Solanus Casey’s cause for sainthood, that more may become aware of him, and that many people may be led to You by seeking his counsel and blessings, just as they were during his earthly life. Amen.
